This is the shawl I'm making.
From the crochet book Serenity from KnitPicks.
It's sold out, but you can still buy this shawl pattern on Ravelry.
It's the Scallops and Shells Shawl.

I'm using Knit Picks Gloss Fingering-weight yarn.
See my fancy paperclip stitch markers? Ha.

After that last picture, I bought some Buddha stitch markers.
Aren't they cute? She only had three.
I bought them on etsy from Knitty by Nature.

This is where I am on the shawl right now.
I just noticed after taking this picture that my color dye lots were off!
I was really upset at first and was considering frogging it.
My friends on IG changed my mind.
I'm going to finish it.
Can't wait to get to the border. It's so pretty!

I already have the yarn for my next project which is also a shawl.
I struggled when choosing colors, but I'm happy.
The yarn is Knit Picks Comfy Sport-Weight.
Colors are Parchment, Flamingo, and Peony.
This yarn is so silky-soft!
I will be making the Hotel of Bees shawl pattern.
(From Ravelry)

This was delicious!
No recipe. I just threw it together.

These salads were terrific too.
Spinach, Romaine, Cucumber, Egg, Feta Cheese, Strawberries, Pecans,
And Ken's Raspberry Walnut Vinaigrette Lite.
This dressing is so good, y'all!

I saw these at Walmart. So pretty!

Snapdragons on the rails around the porch with the Geraniums.

Chives blooming in a pot on the porch.

We enjoy identifying birds while outside at the table.
We did this in Texas too.
The difference 2,000 miles makes is amazing!

Granny Sammi.

Wenona, send me your email in a comment. I will not publish it!

Kim Wilkins, I got your comment on YouTube. THANK YOU!

I love you for being here.
Thank you.

hi pammy sue...another great have the most funnest posts..the serenity yarn shawl appears as a gradient yarn is a lovely shawl...the book is available from amazon for $14.99, plus shpg if not a prime member...the sausage meal looks time i go shopping those ingredients are on my list...also for the salad...i think i'll use blue cheese in place of you have bird feeders in the yard?...i wonder if the great variety of birds is also because you are located near water...the colors for the hotel of bees shawl are a awesome pick...take care...sally

  2. I so enjoyed you post Pammy...where to start? That pasta looks so darn good, I am gonna use your idea soon (ingredients are on my shopping list). That salad looks awesome, too. Grammy Sammi looks so precious!!
Your shawl is gonna be gorgeous in that shade!! Lovin' your new KnitPicks yarn, the rose colors, especially.
I look up birds in our bird-identifying book, too! How funny, another thing we have in common. Ours is for Western North America. I've learned what a bunch of new-to-me birds are here in the Pacific Southwest, like the Phoebe, the Great-Tailed Grackle, the Hooded Oriole...just thrills me :)
    Thanks for more inspiration,

  3. I'm so glad you decided to keep going with your shawl. I think it looks great. The Hotle of Bees shawl seems to be very popular right now to and I like the colors you've chosen for yours. I went to Paradise Fibers today and bought some plain undyed merino yarn. I'm going to try dying it with Kool-Aid. I just bought one skein so if it's a complete flop I won't have wasted a lot of money. Have a lovely day my friend.
    Blessings, Betsy

  4. Love your Scallops and Shells shawl! I am working on the Hotel of Bees shawl now. It is an awesome pattern. Your choice of colors are so pretty. And Sammi always makes me smile...

  5. I too like the shawl and understand that could have been a delima if it weren't so nice and even. It's funny I do that with my tatting when I take a picture and then look closely I see some things I don't like with the camera like my dogs hair I have to pick out. Aways like to see what you cooking it gives me ideas I am grateful for thanks so much love this post🌹❤️🌹

  6. Haha love granny Sammi, I love the shawl Pammy Sue and the bee keeper shawl is beautiful too, I have thought about making it but I don't wear shawls so there would be no point really. Your food looks yummy as always. Have a great weekend. :) xx

  7. Ahhhh Sammi is extra adorable! Too cute. :) Oh your shawl is lovely. It's a big trend now having two different hues of color in a shawl. I've even seen where they are using those skeins of yarn that have various colors in them...they always turn out so pretty, and yours is pretty, too. I really love the yarn for the new shawl...I love pink. :) Oh Mama would have loved your lily. She always grew an entire bed of various colors of lily when I was growing up. Now she's tending her garden in Heaven. She would have just loved you to pieces. You cook the way she use to...she's just throw stuff together with what she had and you know was always the best food ever! Keep those You Tube videos coming. I keep waiting for one where you are sitting and crocheting and sharing your thoughts with us....hint, hint. :) Wishing you a lovely day. ((hugs)).

  8. I'm SO GLAD you are crocheting again! A new project always does that for me! I love the look of a gradient in your first shawl.. as if you intended it to be that way! See? we learn something new every time don't we? Next time, get the same colors but in different dye lots and look what a pretty thing we end up with??? I just started on my table coasters.. have one done so far but want to do more. That food all looks wonderful! It's 2:00 here and haven't had anything to eat yet today, and that really really made me hungry! Yum... and will have to try that salad dressing. I like Ken's dressings. Your porch and flowers are lovely. Is stormy and rainy and windy here today, so taking a day off from working outside and feeling guilt free (almost) about staying in today. Crafting is on my agenda! I LOVE the colors you've chosen for your next shawl! Wow.. my colors totally. Do you wear your different shawls that you make? I've never worn one but bet they are nice during the winter months, or chilly days of spring too. I like the idea of a video with you crocheting too.. and just visiting with us! Hugs... Marilyn

  9. You are killing me with all of that great food!!! Man I miss eating some things!!!!! Loved all the pics! Your patios look so inviting! I wanna come rock with you!! I loved the video! Where are those horses?? Montana looked gorgeous!!!! Love the shawl!!!!!! Love that knit picks stroll too!!!! I miss talking to you!!!!

  10. Well, that picture of Sammi really cracked me up - its so adorably cute!! You always seem to find beautiful patterns - I love the look of the shawl you're making. I've decided that crescent shaped and shorter ones are much nicer than long triangle shawls. As far as the dye lot is concerned I thought it was one of those gradient yarns that are all the go at the moment. I wouldn't worry about it - in fact I reckon it looks pretty good. I never knew chives had flowers !!!! Wish I had an invite to your house for dinner one night :)

  11. That skillet pasta meal!!!!! Hmmm. Must search the pantry and see if I've got anything remotely similar...looks so absolutely edible and comforting! We are one week from daughter's wedding and may not survive, lol. We are grasping for ANYTHING comforting at the moment, lol! Nice post!

  12. That shawl is so beautiful, can't wait to see yours finished. Love the last picture; so cool!
